SCUBA SHOW CASINO NIGHT TO BENEFIT CALIFORNIA SHIPS-TO-REEFS

California Ships to Reefs (CS2R), Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit Public Benefit Corporation formed to make the Golden State a world-class diving destination is pleased to announce that Dale Sheckler, publisher of California Diving News and organizer of the largest consumer SCUBA show in the United States, “SCUBA Show 2008″ is repeating 2007’s very successful event by designating CS2R as the beneficiary of this year’s Casino Night on June 21, 2008.

The SCUBA Show is a 2-day event featuring display booths attended by representatives from major diving industry manufacturers, dive travel agencies, certification agencies, dive boat operators, ocean conservancy organizations, and many more exhibitors. The event includes a series of diving related seminars and presentations, and a continuous underwater film festival.

The SCUBA show will take place on Saturday and Sunday, June 21 and 22, 2008 at the Long Beach Convention Center. Additional information is available at www.scubashow.com

The goal of CS2R is to make California an international wreck diving destination and to significantly invigorate diving and underwater tourism within the state, while helping to revive our ocean’s unique ecosystem. CS2R has a mandate to lead a state-wide cooperative effort assisting state and federal government agencies by developing a process for accepting, environmentally cleaning, and sinking decommissioned ships as artificial reefs.

Tickets for Casino Night are available for $25 each which provides entry, one end-of-night raffle ticket, and $500 in gaming chips to earn more raffle tickets. The first 50 people attending the event will receive a guaranteed door prize. Attendees who are members of the dive club with the most people attending will each receive an extra 10 raffle tickets for each member towards the end-of-night drawing.
